Coach Maddie

OWner. operator. OPtimist.

Welcome to Champions By Choice — and I’m so glad you’re here.

My name is Madison Ann, though most families know me simply as Coach Maddie. I am the Founder, Owner, and Lead Trainer of this woman-led coaching organization dedicated to helping youth and families build strong foundations for life through movement, mindset, mentorship, and commNITY connections.

My Mission:

I help kids build the physical, emotional, and mental foundations they need to succeed in sports, school, and life — especially when traditional systems haven’t worked for them.

Champions By Choice bridges the gap between athletics, mental health, and life skills through developmentally appropriate, trauma-informed coaching that supports the whole child and the whole family.

What I Believe:

I believe children are not problems to fix;

they are people to develop.

I create safe, structured, and encouraging

environments where young people can:

Try without fear

Grow without comparison

Learn without shame

Build confidence through consistency

Because when children feel safe, & seen;

THEY CHOOSE TO GROW!

The Heart Behind It All

My personal mission statement is

#MaddiesPlace,

which stands for:

Making A Difference: Developing, Inspiring, Empowering

& Supporting lives by Providing:
Love, Attention, Care, and Encouragement.

This isn’t just a hashtag or phrase — it’s the posture that guides every program I design and every child I coach.

The Vision

After nearly three decades of personal and professional experience, mentorship, and hands-on service,

I officially launched Champions By Choice to create

something I knew was missing:

A place where youth and families are supported as

whole people — not just athletes, students, or behaviors.

And we’re just getting started! :)

🤍

A Note From Me:

Whether you're here as a parent,

partner, or commUNITY member,

I’m grateful you found us!

~

Champions By Choice continues to grow alongside

the needs of the families we serve, and I welcome your

MELISSA'S STORY

I was so embarrassed.

In October of 2020 I was trying to find my way back from losing my business in April that year to the effects of the pandemic. I was charging every course I could to my credit cards trying to find that "magic answer". I wasn't able to find it but I did find 5 figures worth of debt. During this time my marriage had fallen into a state of crumbs that we were half heartedly trying to hold together.

The morning of October 3rd I found myself handing my 2 year old to my 18 year old and locking myself in the bathroom to call the Suicide Hotline. For 45 minutes I ugly cried and sobbed while the amazing woman on the other end let me know I wasn't alone. That I wasn't a failure.

That call changed everything. It wasn't an immediate turnaround but it was the answer. I changed EVERYTHING about my business. I took all of my life experience, tragedy, trauma, happiness and healing and created a business that helped other women to help other women! I started helping women write Best Selling books.

But I STILL wasn't being honest

Deep down inside I knew that NOT sharing my story about that day in October
